Recipe: Cocktails with Nestea

A few weeks ago Nestea invited myself and a few other bloggers to a day escape in the countryside. I brought along one of my besties Andria and it was a day to remember. I’ll admit the cold temperatures were not on our side but nonetheless the day was pretty damn magical. We started off with horseback riding with my horse piper who was a speckled ginger beauty. My favourite kind.

After a very cold hayride, we were taken to this barn location for a food and cocktail pairing. Everything was styled and executed perfectly from the hot toddy’s that welcomed us to the cozy blankets to keep us warm to the gorgeous table set up.

Over the course of the evening we were treated to five different cocktails each featuring the new Nestea flavours – Natural Blackcurrant and Blueberry Mint. Of course I had to share the recipes for my two favourite cocktails!

1 oz Nestea Blackcurrant reduction (to make reduction bring Nestea Blackcurrant to a boil and reduce heat to simmer until liquid reduces)
4 oz dry prosecco
1/4 tsp of creme de cassis
– combine ingredients and garnish with a spring of rosemary threaded with blackcurrants

3 oz Nestea Blueberry Mint
1 oz gin
1/2 oz tonic concentrate
1 1/2 oz soda water
– mix ingredients and pour into a glass with cubed blueberries (freeze blueberries in ice cube trays with water) and garnish with mint leaves
